Does Anyone know if they do water births anymore?
If not, What way is more “comfortable/easiest” when giving birth, Obviously every position is going to be painful as hell, but my mother in law is telling me to have it in a birthing chair, and my mom is telling me other wise, what do you guys think? Yes water births are still done. I don’t think many hospitals do them but Birth Centres do.
As to what position is more comfortable or easiest to give birth in, you’ll just have to wait and see when the time comes.
I gave birth to my first daughter whilst kneeling on all fours because I had back labor and that was the only position that eased the pain from my back. If you had asked me before labor, I never would have guessed that it was going to be the best position for me to give birth in.
My second I was laying on my side (I was actually falling asleep and she slipped right out)
And my third I started out leaning over a bean bag, but his head kept getting stuck on my pelvic bone, so the midwife suggested I used the birthing stool. So I did and that was what worked for me.
