sump pump flow meter?
I need to be able to find out how much water my sump pump is pumping during peak periods. (ie how many gallons per hour) Any suggestions on a meter and installation suggestions would be helpful.
My sump pump is rated at 40 gallons a minute at a 10 foot lift. This means that it will remove 40 gallons of water, pumping it up 10 feet and out of the house in a minute. This is more water than you can get out of a faucet turned on full. When we have bad storms and the ground is saturated, my pump runs for 15-20 seconds,three or four times in an hour. I don’t think you are asking the correct question.

water softener installation?
I have purchased a water softener for my home and everything I read says using 3/4 inch pipe to install, My home right from the water meter has only 1/2 inch copper pipe, my question is will the 1/2 inch copper tubing be sufficient or do I need to repipe the entire run with 3/4 inch tubing. I have done a flow test and their seems to be sufficient flow.

its very rare to have a 1/2 line from your meter. you can use a reducing coupling 3/4x 1/2 to go up to 3/4 inch,,it should work fine.
