need help with workout nutrition?
i started working a year ago and now lift 15 more lbs and feel alot stronger. anyways my friend said eat 4-6 times a day and dont’ work out everyday for better results. i’ve went from 123-128 in a month and i dont know if this is in fat i do total body workouts every other day can you look at my diet and see if i could change anything. workout day: 1st meal cereal-milk-fruit-oj or milk (or eggs and toast) 6:40 2nd-homemade granola bar with water 11:30 3rd- pb/banana/raisin/jelly/honey and almonds very crunchy sandwich (personal creation) with water 1:40 workout (2:00-4:20) 4th-on whey protein drink 5th supper- 7:30 (cant say what i have but it’s usually veg and meat and crap like that) off day: 1st meal-same 2nd-same 3rd-same 4th-supper 7:30 is this ok or should i adjust it sometimes i have a smoothie for breakfast thanks for all your help i dont want to be ugly fat but i want to be muscular thanks for your help (i was fat when i was a little kid i dont use whey in morn just pb/b
Just make sure you don’t overeat or anything. After awhile that might get a little boring having the same things day after day. Try to switch it up. And you probably just gained muscle weight.

Making Pizza With Kids
Okay, you have 10 kids under 10 years old coming over to your house and you have to entertain them. You are looking for something interactive and fun. You also have to feed these kids… What do you do? The answer, Make Pizza!
Kids love spending time in the kitchen if you can make it a fun, interactive and yummy experience. Creating mini pizzas is a great way of engaging kids; so pull out your aprons and get cooking.
When cooking with children it’s important to let them get their hands messy and experiment a little. Kids love to pour, measure, mix and taste their own pizza creations. Unfortunately, kids can’t be counted on to be neat in the kitchen, so a little relaxation and patience will carry you a long way.
Safety First in Pizza Making:
Pizza making offers a good opportunity to discuss kitchen safety with children. You can discuss points like kitchen dangers; think knives, boiling water, etc. An alternative to lecturing is to give frequent reminders of what is okay to touch and what they should stay away from. You will also want to establish kitchen rules, like washing hands and not touching the stove or electric mixers.
Integrate Learning in Pizza Making:
At this point, you have already taught the kids about kitchen safety, but there is a lot more that you can teach when making pizza with children. School age children can use their math skills as they help measure and combine ingredients. Just think of all those wonderful fractions that need to be added, reduced, etc.
You can also take the opportunity to talk about good nutrition by discussing the ingredients you are choosing and why. Also, don’t be afraid to add fresh vegetables, you’ll be amazed what kids will eat when it’s covered in cheese and on top of a pizza they’ve created.
Pizza Making Quality Time:
Probably the best reason to make pizza with kids is for the quality time. Think about how much fun a mini pizza assembly line is, especially when the children are in charge of choosing their own crusts, cheeses, sauces and toppings.
Be sure to compliment the child on a job well done and offer your child the first taste of the pizza. Ask what they think and you may even consider having them judge the pizza on the taste, dough, toppings, etc. This will give them a chance to figure out what they might change for next time.

My kids won’t eat fruit. Are they still getting their nutrition from fruit juice?
I always buy 100% and dilute it with water, as we find it too sweet.

They also take a multivitamin daily. The only fruit they will eat is apples…Do you have any tips or suggestions for getting them to try, and like, different fruits?
The best way to get nutrients from fruits is to eat them, but if your kids are drinking 100% juice and taking multivitamins, that’s the next-best thing.
It’s good that they’ll eat apples because apples are one of the best fruits anyone can eat. The only thing you can do about getting them to try other fruit is to buy fruit that you’ll eat and invite them to try it. Encourage them to try new things but if they’re being stubborn about it, don’t push the issue. You’re much better off letting them make their own decisions at this point as opposed to forcing them to try stuff. Once my daughter decided that she didn’t like something (even if it was something she had never tried before) her mind was made up. Chances are your kids will want to try more things as they grow older.
