Where do you think the ice on the lunar surface came from?
An article I was reading (http://www.nasa.gov/topics/moonmars/features/moon20090924.html) stated that the water ice found on the Moon “raises new questions about its [the Moon's] origin.”
Does it really raise any questions about the origin of the Moon? It could still have been ripped out of the Earth, for it doesn’t seem too unlikely that some of Earth’s water ended up on the Moon if that’s where the Moon came from.
Also, the water could have come from comet impacts.
What do you think?

What appears most likely is that water vapor from cometary impacts migrated to the craters at the poles prior to its being broken apart by solar radiation and escaping the moon’s gravitational well.

I commend you for acknowledging the significance of helping those less fortunate on our Planet, Charity is a key tenet of Islam but so too is the Pursuit of Knowledge and Exploration and as such by them having found water on the Moon, this is very significant and a great find for Humanity. What do I mean by this? Water on the Moon is a significant and valuable find as the Hydrogen contained in the Water can be extracted and used in the Production for Fuel for Rockets which would now be able to depart from the Moon (instead of Earth) on Inter-Planetary and perhaps even Inter-Stellar Space Voyages. By manufacturing Rocket Fuel on the Moon and launching Deep Space Missions from there, this significantly reduces the cost of a Mission which originates from Earth. Saving on Cost or Money is beneficial as it means such saved Wealth can be used in Charitable pursuits, so finding Water on the Moon is immensely beneficial in the reduction of Future Space Mission Costs.

Verse 84:19 states “Ye shall surely travel from stage to stage.”
This could also refer to Mankind travelling through the various stages of Space (ie; Solar System first, then the Milky Way, then other Galaxies etc) all from the Moon perhaps, where having now found water, Hydrogen based Fuel can easily and cost efficiently be generated enabling Space Travel from the Moon.
