1. A farmer normally mixes 1 1/2 gallons of pesticide solution with 5 1/4 gallons of water for each acre of his field.

I am going to convert to decimals for ease of typing (but you should use fractions)

1. There are two possible answers!
If he fills the tank
(1.5 / (1.5+5.25) ) x 350
=1.5 /6.75 x350
= 77.78 = C.

However if he mixes enough just to cover 45 acres then 45 x1.5 = 67.5 gallons with 45×5.25 = 236.25 gallons of water.
This would give answer “B”. Is the farmer able to measure 236.25 gallons of water or does he have to fill the tank to know how much water he is adding?

2. volume = pi r^2 h
assume pi = 3.14159
if the diameter = 7 feet, the radius = 3.5 feet
therefore the volume is 3.14159 x3.5 x 3.5 x15 cubic feet = 577.27 cubic feet
If it is 55% full it would be 577.27×55% = 317.5 cubic feet

There are 6.2288 imperial gallons to a cubic foot. Therefore 317.5 x 6.2288 = 1977.64 gallons
As this is not one of the answers, the question must mean US gallons which are smaller than the gallons in the rest of the world. There are 7.48 US gallons to a cubic foot.
317.5×7.48 = 2374.9 US gallons = Answer C

3. the volume of a sphere is given by the formula 4/3 pi r^3
The volume = 4/3 x 3.14159 x 32 x32 x32 = 137258 cubic feet
Again assuming US gallons this time the capacity would be
137258 x 7.48 = 1026689 US gallons
if 140000 has been drained 1026689-140000 remains = 886689
The answer is D (the difference will be in the roundings of pi, I used 5 decimal places if you use 2 it is 886171.4, and capacity)

Apart from these, street corners, plazas, parks, swimming pools, kitchens (yes!), restaurants, museums and malls are all popular options to propose. What is to be ensured is that the place is someplace close to where you live, or someplace which you cross each day (or each week). Each time you both pass by, you feel extra special and it feels nice.
